    Using Google Adwords for local advertising is a great way to get business. I have even found the secret to getting low cost per clicks (.05) for competitive terms -- use graphical ads over text ads when bidding on highly competitive terms (i.e. bids over $5.00) .... the text ad market is overpopulated and as a small player you'll be lucky to find competitive keyword terms at a price you can afford.
